CALS Staff Service and Dedication Award

Award Requirements

Application Deadline:
Due 3rd Tuesday in November to CALS

Purpose:  To recognize a College of Agriculture and Life Sciences staff member who has demonstrated outstanding service and dedication in their position.  

Eligibility: Professional and scientific or merit staff who have been employed in CALS for a minimum of five years at the time of the nomination deadline. Recipients must be CALS employees at the time of CALS spring awards ceremony.

Number of Awards: One award.

Amount of Award: $500 one-time stipend.

Submission Guidelines:

  1. Submit the CALS award cover sheet. 
  2. Submit a nomination letter no longer than three pages that describes the nominee's service and dedication to their position including evidence of sustained personal motivation and drive to solve problems, tackle challenges or assist with projects; gain new skills; lead activities, committees or events; or other outstanding service efforts. Provide evidence of dedication to the department or unit over a sustained period. 
  3. Submit two additional letters of support. One of the letters, or the nomination letter, must be from the direct supervisor.
  4. Submit a curriculum vitae not to exceed four pages.

NOTE: Prior to 2024, this was called the CALS Merit Achievement and Service Award.
